Sadie and the Snow Globe

Chapter 1.

Sadie had planned to clean her cave for ages. What a horrible mess.

No way can Mum see my place in this state. I’ll never hear the end of it.

Chapter 2

“Hey Sandy! Of course, come in but it’s a complete tip. I’m in the middle of cleaning.” Sadie hoped she sounded casual.

His cheeky freckled face peered around the rock. Sandy was all tousled muddy greenish coloured hair and white teeth shining out of a big smile. Sadie’s cheeks grew hot and turned a pinker shade of jade.

Chapter 3

Sadie and Penstamon stared at the curious little glass globe mounted on a carved wooden base.

There was a sigh that sounded for all the seas, like relief. What was this thing?

Sadie was delighted and repulsed by it at the same time.

“Isn’t it amazing? I found on my way home from Aunt D’s.”

“It’s fearsome awesome,” agreed Penstamon.
